A soft, water soluble filament that can be used as a support material with dual extruding 3D printers. PVA is degradable, dissolves in sufficient water, and allows for complex designs where removing support material manually would otherwise be difficult or impossible. Best for models printed from PLA due to easy adhesion.

It has increased bonding and lower warp, and does not require a heated print bed, making it a more accessible alternative while still offering the same capabilities of ABS. PLA

  • Filament Diameter: 1.75mm (not chipped, can be used with almost all 3D printers). The 3-letter code printed on the spool will automatically set the correct extrusion temperature in the M3D software.
  • Shore Hardness: R70
  • Material Density (ISO 1183): 1.25g/cm3 
  • Recommended Extrusion Temperature: 200 - 230°C
  • Recommended Heated Print Bed Temperature: 40 - 50°C when used, but it is not required
  • Recommended Build Surfaces: M3D printbed sheet, painter's tape, glue stick, glass plate
  • Other Printer Requirements: Part cooling fan

Tough

  • Filament Diameter: 1.75mm (not chipped, can be used with almost all 3D printers, direct driven extruders only). The 3-letter code printed on the spool will automatically set the correct extrusion temperature in the M3D software. 
  • Shore Hardness: 90A 
  • Material Density (ISO 1183): 1.19g/cm3 
  • Recommended Extrusion Temperature: 220 - 240°C 
  • Recommended Heated Print Bed Temperature: 45 - 60°C when used, but it is not required 
  • Recommended Build Surfaces: M3D printbed sheet, painter's tape, glue stick, glass plate, PEI 
  • Other Printer Requirements: Part cooling fan 

PVA

  • Filament Diameter: 1.75mm (not chipped, can be used with almost all 3D printers). The 3-letter code printed on the spool will automatically set the correct extrusion temperature in the M3D software. 
  • Shore Hardness: 19D 
  • Material Density (ISO 1183): 1.22g/cm3 
  • Recommended Extrusion Temperature: 185 - 195°C 
  • Recommended Heated Print Bed Temperature: 45 - 60°C when used, but it is not required
     
  • Recommended Build Surfaces: M3D printbed sheet, painter's tape, glue stick, glass plate, PEI

ABS-R

  • Filament Diameter: 1.75mm (not chipped, can be used with almost all 3D printers). The 3-letter code printed on the spool will automatically set the correct extrusion temperature in the M3D software for the Micro, Micro+, and the Pro. 
  • Shore Hardness: R105 
  • Material Density (ISO 1183): 1.27g/cm3 
  • Recommended Extrusion Temperature: 215 - 235°C 
  • Recommended Heated Print Bed Temperature: 87 - 105°C when used, but it is not required 
  • Recommended Build Surfaces: M3D printbed sheet, painter's tape, glue stick, heated bed, hairspray
  • Other Printer Requirements: Part cooling fan
